Keeleilu Erahuvikool is a partner and member of the organising committee of the 4th Baltic Sea Conference on Literacy “Searching for a Common Language” organised by the Estonian Reading Association and the Federation of European Literacy Associations.

In January 2020, the Estonian Reading Association holds an international conference titled  “Searching for a Common Language”. The conference is part of the series of Baltic Sea conferences on literacy. The broader aim of the conference is to raise awareness on how to cope, succeed and be happy when communicating, studying or teaching in several languages.

The basis for all classes and activities in Keeleilu Erahuvikoolis is the study the Estonian language and the development of reading habits. We consider it very important to contribute to endeavours that emphasise the importance of education and literacy both by supporting the use of rich language among children and, from a more broader perspective, by appreciating the language in the society.

Education is no doubt the factor that binds the society, also in connecting people from different nationalities, by giving every person a chance to learn, work and contribute to the society. Let us look together in the conference for that common bridge!
